Golf Tip: The best way to develop a sound putting stroke is through a repetitive motion. Quiet body and no wrist in the stroke help. Also try and always accelerate the putter head, never decelerate.
Golf Tip: When hitting balls at the range turn it into a round of golf. For example the first hole at Maplegate is a medium length par 5. Start by hitting a driver. Your second may be a fairway wood or a long iron. Finally hit a wedge for your third shot. Repeat this process for the rest of the holes at Maplegate. This makes practice fun!
Golf Tip: Here are a couple of tips for hitting more fairways with the driver. First, narrow your stance a little. Second, instead of swinging 100%, try swinging 80%. Finally always make sure your ball position is correct. The ball should be played off your left big toe for righties.
Golf Tip: Easiest way to get out of a sand trap is put the ball forward in your stance. Slightly widen your stance. Put most of your weight on your left side ( Righties). Make aggressive swing hitting 2" behind the ball.
Golf Tip: Course strategy. It is always tempting to try the miracle shot. However the proper play is playing the safe shot. If faced with a decision to punch the ball through a narrow opening in the trees or play it out sideways to the fairway always select the safe shot. This will keep big numbers off the scorecard and maintain momentum in your round.
